Many of you have talents outside of the mathematical realm that involves communicating through a creative mean (art, music, writing, photography). Using these ideas, illustrate your understanding of trigonometry ratios (SOHCAHTOA) by connecting at least three of the following concepts:

Right Triangle Hypotenuse

Adjacent Opposite

Pythagorean Theorem Ratio

Acute Angle Sine

Cosine Tangent

Make sure to include the following:

· Your name

· A correct interpretation of at least three of the ideas given above

· A connection between at least three of the ideas included

Definitely make sure of the following:

· Accurate use of vocabulary (if vocabulary is used)

· Mathematical accuracy and precision

· Uniqueness (you are not copying someone else’s idea)

Keep in mind:

· You can use technology

· If it needs to be set-up in the classroom you can

· If audio is need, we can provide that

· If a small presentation is included that is welcome

This is all about your learning and how you want to communicate! If you have ideas or drafts that you would like to share with me on Wednesday, April 30, please visit during Norse Success or after school.

We will be putting on a gallery walk during class that day for reflections and to enjoy the creative thoughtfulness of others, so please don’t procrastinate or forget the project!

Some ideas for the project include:

· Poem about when to use Sine, Cosine or Tangent

· Song about the three ratios

· Comic strip or short story about overcoming a problem that involves triangles

· Short clip of a video-game scenario or real-world example

· Educational poster

· Make your own real-world problem that is actually solvable

· Create an engineering design that uses properties of a triangle (the strongest shape)
